According to reports, on or about November 15, 2023, a bus travelling from Kishtwar to southern Jammu city somehow went off the road in Doda District area. Almost 40 people were lost and perhaps somewhere between a dozen to 20 injured in the incident.
The factors that may have been involved in the incident are at forefronts, in the hopes of preventing other crashes of the sort.
At the beginning of July 2019, a similar incident happened.
There have been others in the general region.
