Let it be made clear, not agreeing with every aspect of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, CFPB, and what came out of it, does not make one a Republican or a Democrat, or an anti-Republican, or anti-Democrat. Similarly, pertinent to the Department of Homeland Security, DHS, not agreeing with every aspect, regulation that sprung from it, little things that went awry inside the organization such as allegations of harassment among one worker toward another worker, does not make one, or unmake one, a Republican, Democrat, pro homeland security power hegemony or oligarchy, a traitor, acts of sedition, etc.

Organizations and agencies having misunderstandings in them, or not providing the necessary solutions to meet today's demands, means times have changed.
Let's remember a few things, colloquially said. Perhaps for some in younger generations, this information might be fairly new in terms of having full grasp for day to day table talk:
During the Roosevelt administration, as an example of changes and transitions to meet demands, springing from Department of Justice, there arose the FBI. Basically. Changes made to meet the demands of the goings on that were hurting the Country, meet demands of side-effects of Prohibition, and different conflicts. Shifts from black cabinet, and borrowing of specialists from one agency to to fill the needs for certain kinds of espionage (non-traitor), especially interior, to an effective, dependable method. What was going on in that era?, WWI, Prohibition, cars just now becoming regularity, WWII has not even hit yet, to name a few. Airplanes regular commercial use and for warfare looked like the Stone Age compared to today. There were not cell phones in everyone's pocket. Color TVS, VCRs, Internet, all that was not out yet, neither was the population, they way it is now.
Today, there are hundreds, maybe thousands of different kinds of cases handled by numerous agencies, as they are applicable.
Certain nonproliferation agencies, Committee on Public Information, are past times, replaced and transitioned to what newer demands and social dynamics are.
Moving to CFPB, the idea of mortgages and a few shrewd folks at the top of the industry that knew finance well enough to take advantage of families to improve their own financial standing, started to change over time. When subprime loans did not turn out to be what the homeowner hoped. Here comes the balloon payment due or lose your home, in the amount to buy 10 houses outright, you signed off on in the mortgage agreement and didn't see in the fine print, right when the factory you work at laid off everybody, and there wasn't the money to buy 2 tea bags in an emergency for your household. To put an end to widespread trickery in the mortgage industry, certain rules and regulations were developed to sort of shut the doors of the potentialities through the use of more rules and regulations.
But here's what happened: Those rules and regs got taken advantage of by shrewd folks, and there were winners and losers. Some people stayed honest and good people making strong incomes still wound up losing their homes. Workers in the mortgage industry wound up with no to scant income. Mortgage companies, large trillion dollar lenders, as we saw in late 2022, early '23 eventually shut down. The advent most people could barely control in COVD-19 showed up; add that to culprits at the game of swindling, with a third ingredient of widespread opiate abuse, the other epidemic going nonstop, the aftermath of its trashy soup of chaotic foolishness is what is upon us right now.
Aspects of the economy either not in good health, or people not living healthy lives and lifestyles, while some await the theory to come true for a tantalizing upswing in economic betterment - which there are no promises that things might get better.
It turns out Republicans, such as Senator Cruz of Texas, have spoken on the unideals that have materialized having CFPB in the conversation. There may also be widespread resentment against elements in the spirit, of how CFPB, came to be.
One of the dynamics in the chronology, is when Republicans were the leading party, and when Democrats were, along with major burdens, such as when WWII was happening, when the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were going on, and meeting the demands for preparations of war affected the social fabric. With the, after a while one party takes a back seat to the other, it might have been that, if events that sparked war took place in different intervals, catch phrases about policies developed during Obama and Biden, Democrats, administrations, may not have existed. For instance, it was during Bush Sr, and Bush Jr administrations, that the big missile firing events occurred that signaled official large scale military operations. Post Bush Sr came the Democrat, post Bush Jr, came another Democrat. Post Trump, and the things the people didn't like about his Administration, saliently perceptions of control with constant composure, what came in sequence with perceptions of having more of those qualities, demonstrated by Biden. But Trump, a finance bright light, came after Obama, who had seemingly unsurmountable financial problems thrown on his lap, post Administration of Bush, that had to deal with war in the Middle East. So on and so forth as correct. What if the historic moment of 'Iraq invaded Kuwait' happened during a Democratic administration? The whole cycle experienced in the past 35 years might have been something else, and it's details therein; the policy, and opposing viewpoint satirism about the policies and politicians behind them, that got started.
Rambling, at the same time, laying out the quick backdrop that sits before, say what you have to say.
What it is, is that after the changes in times, such as ongoing illegal immigration issues, what defines harassment has changed over the years, in some cases, only a feather needs to look like it's on its way to dropping, the quantity of harassment cases, widespread economic woes that do not fit the shoe, such as Federal and government employees or former, with decades of experience and among the world's wealthiest, having to live in squalid conditions, if they can even keep their house; rife violence over almost nothing, school shootings to the prevalence like that's what is supposed to happen, those are the bad things.- Positive differences may come in the form with the number of colleges and universities there are in the US now, the number of government agencies, the exposure and access to technology like cell phones, roads with street lamps and rain bankings, in many places, in sum a lot of different kinds of jobs filled by a lot of people. This is not the 90s any more. It is not the mobster days of the 1950s, nor 30s. Prohibition is past. WWII, well past, WWI, over 100 years ago.
DHS was in brief words and illustration, successful in what it set out to do, from post 2000 to today, over a trajectory of about 20 years.

From a mortgage professional's standpoint, since the last half of 2022 through March 2023, whatever it is about CFPB and the regulations that emerged, while several large lenders like RMF and Sprout Mortgage shut doors, and massive layoffs either occurred, occurring, or slated to at Citigroup and Wells Fargo, the who would have thought such a thing would or could have happened,- something is not meshing, and is not on point, on a very grand scale.
What it is, is that CFPB, DHS, and other agencies, there are good things, and there may be bad things that have arose, alluding to general sayings about good and bad coexisting in certain situations.
What needs to happen: Everyone needs to 'sit down', together, Democrats, Republicans, other voices and views, fed and private industry leaders, utilize the system of checks and balances, and form up regulations, changes and transitions that fill the needs of the demands and times upon us. Keep what is good, throw out what is bad or obsolete. Shape up what is positive, right, and effective at carrying it out.
