A fight or altercation broke out sometime about 10 minutes after 7am this morning on the property of a high school in Harris County Texas, in the Houston area. The aftermath reported thus far, is 1 student is deceased, and some students were injured. Age groups of the victims included 16 and 17 years old.

Is the trend moving toward increasingly younger persons involved in violent crime? Moreover, are the age thresholds for the severity of the crimes, and the degree of prevalence becoming shocking to the extent that it is necessary that it is of a priority matter?

A University of Houston student was fatally shot outside an apartment complex, in December of 2011.
