Mass Shootings and Almost Mass Shootings Continue as an Unsolved Phenomenon Going into 2020

Despite all the efforts of law enforcement and citizens, and groups formed with the aim to help reduce mass shootings and firearm violence, the problem of persistent mass shootings as well as ones just under the threshold to be called mass shootings, keep cropping up like vines that have found their way around the obstacles.
As many audience eyes went on the TV, computer, and hand held phone screens for the latest updates in impeachment related activities, other news that ordinarily would have hit the press was going on, and sometimes at levels where it obvious had they been further up in the headlines on the news, maybe the magnitude of the incidents would not have continued as badly.
Almost mass shootings means, shootings where several persons were shot but less than 4; mass shootings generally refer to shooting where 4 or more persons have been shot. Important because there could be a number of shootings that are major events, but did not make the list of a mass shootings.
