The long-time slug fest of whether Puerto Rico will be a U.S. state, or remain a territory has not rested.
Pedro Pierluisi supports statehood, governor of Puerto Rico supports continued status as territory, says Pierluisi.
Concerned that over 3 and a half million U.S. citizens has minimal to no voting representation.

Pedro Pierluisi, a Democrat, is the Puerto Rico representative to U.S. Congress.

The governor of Puerto Rico is Alejandro Garcia Padilla.
