The USA We Know and the Food Lines

After looking at pictures of the food lines today, it is even clearer that thete is something very wrong. It is clear we are heading into a direction, at the pace and some of the direction that has gone into, that is similar to the potato famine that struck Ireland about 200 years ago.
On that point, the America that was a saving grace for immigrating from Ireland which was, might not have been the choice that it was, if things were then, they way they are now. The fire lit, keep America great, the beacon is this land is one with hope, not doom.
The food lines, some miles long, show more than just how long the lines are, and that people are being given food in boxes instead of a choice to choose, and cannot be 100% certain that the food in there is best for them and their families, what is also seen is the shattered confidence and low esteem.
Now a decision has to be made, open back up or risk mass scenes of hunger and starvation like what is discussed in Irish famine lore. Back then, numerous persons that did not make it to safety, died on the side of road.
The question is now present, and has already been, what would happen if the food that gets donated, runs out? Who and what can we turn to, foreign imports? That can't happen, because others are facing the same or similar challenges.
Either business resumes, or risk widespread illness, not from COVID-19, but from malnutrition.
The place we are at now, is a ramification of word of mouth instruction to stay at home in an effort to avert massive coronavirus related illness. To what degree it worked, remains to be seen. To what degree the ramifications are going to lead us down a road that the consequences are going to be about the same as COVID-19, is looming as that might be the plight.
The word of mouth instructions, to stay at home, leading to business closure, could have very easily been replaced with another set of instructions.
Many here in America have been nice about it all thus far, humbly swallowing the guidance. At some point, the bubble might burst. Switching the gear in terms of instruction right when that happens to tantalize, is ethically poor, -by the way.
The scenes of the food lines make it looklike we are losing the war to an arrogant, communist, power hungry bunch that bow to entities that are bent on ruling the world.
