HCN comment: In an incident like this, time has already run out, at least in the perspective of treating the situation; that there may be 40 hours and counting down left in oxygen, is not a good timeline to hold as framework. There literally and figuratively is an ocean of possibilities that could occur, especially if the vessel is still in the ocean. This does not leave out the possibility of being stuck somewhat underneath a tectonic plate,[which could obstruct signalization, pings, movement, and other detection methods].
