In and over about the past week, in Istanbul, Turkey, there has been protesting, that can be gauged as beyond a small gathering, a bit over moderate in intensity, but perhaps not a major catastrophe.
There are reports of over thousand persons arrested.
The impetus for the protesting is said to be over detainment of Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.
Concerns now arise that what are likely actual photos of the protesting, are individuals wearing the idiosyncratic masks, such as of white facial skeletons on black backdrop, which would be an indication that the protests are becoming a magnet for other types of axes to grind, other intentions, other groups with other motives outside pertinent scope, and so forth. Certain masks have been identified as being associated with vagaries of hate based groups, transnational groups that may try to stoke the seeds of terror, in short, younger bring-ins getting practice at protesting, perhaps that eventually turn increasingly violent.
What may be a good idea: minimize and mitigate the intensity and quantity of persons in the gathering to best possible extent without exacerbating the situation. Observe whose present. Question why masks are being worn if a stand on an issue is being made.
