A number of online papers have already written about this, so not to be reiterative; but let it be stated clearly, after what looks like an IED, improvised explosive device, hit a masjid, a place of worship in Islam, yesterday, that is one more incident involving either a dangerous weapon or some kind of incendiary device on masjid just this year. An article in Mother Jones online paper in 2015 discussed the matter; 2015 Saw a Record Number of Attacks on US Mosques, http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/06/islamophobia-rise-new-report-says/. As of March of 2017, a count is 34 masajid attacked, about 5 months later, not counting what happened in the span of 5 months, the Minnesota masjid situation.
It looks like the attacks are powerful enough to cause damage, but not protuberant to be on the radar screen of serious attacks involving violence; however, the situation has recurred so often, how it goes unnoticed that something is very wrong with the picture is not understood.
In America, any attack on any faith based or religious institution is in breach of the law.
HCN is not a ranting machine in defense of attacks on masajid, nor attacks on women with head scarves, the statistics have come to the point they must be taken into account.
