23rd Year Since 9-11 Reflections

Something subtle lingers in the air that the entire day has gone and still nothing has been directly posted here about 9-11.
What is it, what should or can be appropriately said? It can be a very sensitive issue, as some felt the impact of 9-11 more than others, or in different ways.
As time moves along, and as more progress is made in the way of defending our Nation the USA, there's the hope that because more progress has been made, that less needs to be said each year or each day, as a sort of positive sign of the progress.
Noting that since 9-11, folks have been born, grew up, some fortunate to go to school, then college, and serve in different capacities such as the military, and have come home. Hence, in some ways, it may have been a long time since 9-11, however, time can be or seem relative sometimes, very relative. There are some of us that are still studying, still working or working toward, and still building up the defenses to ensure nothing like what happened will occur to us again, and in that lens, it is almost a moment in time.
One thing that may be in the vein with 'never forget', is never stop building toward improving your defenses.
Another is the reflections that may naturally occur when the amount of school shootings that have occurred in recent years, amplified by school shootings in recent weeks, that yes, the defenses against terror attacks like what happened on 9-11 must and should continue to develop, and, defenses in other areas should also develop and continue. The amount of lives lost to the base action of gun violence, of different situations, coming from within our own own states, cities, neighborhoods, and even own households, has caused and been causing catastrophic levels of loss of life.
Other areas of defense include advents like a germ like COVID causing epidemics and pandemics. I hope, and I hope others hope as well, that an event like that will a never happen again.
Lastly for now, there are those that sacrificed, such as rescue crews, that to and through this day, and there is a chance there will be more, have finally started to succumb to injuries and illnesses that were undergone.
