A man's body was found facedown near a 7th Ward sidewalk Monday morning (July 25) and New Orleans police are investigating the death as a homicide. The crime scene was at North Dorgenois and D'Abadie streets (map). (1)

A 24-year-old man was fatally shot Thursday morning (July 21) at an apartment complex on Chef Menteur Highway near the Michoud area of New Orleans East, according to the New Orleans Police Department. His name has not been released. (2)

There was a shooting Monday afternoon (July 25) on I-10 westbound below the Broad Street overpass, NOPD said.

Initial reports said there was one male victim. A black Nissan Altima with a shattered rear window appeared to have crashed into a fence. (3)

HCN written notes: In the overpass incident, it appears, based on the photo in the story, (3),  the victim might have been shot while driving, it is conjecturable that the shooter might have also been driving. 
There have been other incidents in other regions in the last few years, where a shooter from a car shoots at someone else from their car.

FLINT, MI -- One person is in custody after a shooting Sunday morning in Flint's east side that left one man dead.
Police said Raymond J. Gerow was shot and killed around 7 a.m. July 24 in the 1800 block of Davison Road, near Franklin Avenue. (4)

STOCKTON - Police investigated a shooting Thursday afternoon that left one man injured.

The shooting was reported at about 3:30pm near the 5300 block of Holiday Drive. Police say the victim was sitting when an early 2000 model black Ford Mustang arrived. A man exited the vehicle and opened fire, injuring the victim.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 30. He was said to be about six feet tall with a thin build and short brown hair. The mustang was said to have red windshield wipers. (5)
