The reports are a man in his mid 50s from Germany was found dead in the public park, located in Chon Buri Province, discovery made public to the media about January 5th 2017. There does not seem to be signs of long decomposition, as the man arrived in Thailand about the last week of December of last year.
Cause of death is under investigation.
Looking at this incident and the photo provided, there is consideration that the methyl alcohol bottles found near the person might have a level of flammability, combustion of the bottles did not seem to happen What might be deep burns on the legs could have been the result of a number of causes in a series of events, for instance not to abandon a scenario such as an attack, torture, then moving the body. Body was found in a wooded area with foliage around that could be flammable, which, like the bottles, did not appear to have caught fire; leaving the possibility the burns took place in a separate location or incident isolated enough the surrounding did not also catch fire. If it was self-inflicted, which did the victim do first, choke himself with the belt, or burn his legs?, either order could make it difficult to perform the other action, and keep a controlled amount of burning. Investigation results awaited. Questions that beset the incident, is, is there some kind of signature in the manner of death.
