Issues of Respect for Defenders of Our Nation at Alarming Height

Posted by HCN on Thursday, October 1, 2015
Taken for granted, sums up an attitude that unfortunately some that walk on the land of the United States, have about a safe place to live, eat, roads to drive on, hospitals and educational facilities abundant.

Without our law enforcement, firefighters, police officers, soldiers, and numerous other government officials and workers, America as a place to live in peace and prosperity would not be.

Despite the efforts to educate that respecting the abovesaid whom serve this nation is important, there are some that have not conformed to basic rules of respect.

One of the highest honors a citizen or an officer in law enforcement can have, is laying down his or her life to save the life of another officer.

What the behavior form of assaulting police officers and law enforcement is, is among the lowliest dishonors.

With deep and indignant disappointment, there arrived the news that the Police Chief of Bald Knob, Arkansas, after seeing his truck ablaze outside his house, on or near September 14th, has reportedly let know the mayor that he is resigning, his tenure slated to end effective October 5th, 2015, to protect his family.

First and foremost, in light of what should be the attitude, is that under no circumstances should any police officer of any rank have to undergo a cowardly act of a threat with arson; the principal is upgraded as rank moves up; there should be absolutely no hypothetical situation, not even a prospect of a possibility that a police chief is being threatened, and certainly not his property or place encroaching his family; whereat, there should be an overwhelming desire on the part of citizens and other officials, from a spectrum of professions, such as law enforcement, that would be willing, free of charge, to protect the property of the Police Chief.  Bare-boned, encircling his house, forming a human ring around his house 24 hours, 7 days a week, if necessary, to protect the property and ensure the safety of the Police Chief, should be considered an honor.

In short, the Police Chief should not have to resign.

For an official of that stature to state a resignation after an incident in the vein of arson on his personal property, looks bad on many of us here, especially since the news has reached the seat of government in Washington DC, and the situation can be condescended on by other nations and societies.

Sometime on or between the weekend days of the 26th and 27th of September 2015, a few days ago, reportedly a soldier, perhaps a National Guard member, was refused a meal on the premises of a waffle house in Kentucky, the rationale posited from the waffle house, was they had a 'no firearm on premises' policy.  The position on the issue on the particular incident has already been discussed at further length in news commentary a few days ago.  It is one thing to have a motivation to reduce firearm violence, and not to promote firearm use, it is another to go too far, and discriminate against a valued member of the local community, in our soldiers.

Our soldiers and law enforcement should have support to keep their moral up; it is a scientifically proven fact that feelings of a state of helplessness can lead to depression.  When a soldier or member of law enforcement has in their possession a firearm as a part of their duty, might not be under their control, rather the instructions of their authority; considering all the training and sacrifice they have done to be in the position they are in to defend citizens, businesses, waffle houses, and this nation, not only is it is unfair to them to be discriminated against, not only should they not have to be subjected to the slightest feelings of helplessness, where they have orders to do one thing and tugging in the other direction is disrespect by the citizens they protect, but those types of scenarios where uniformed soldiers are denied meals or material goods and services such as motel stays, does not make any sense.

Now for what might be a severely dreadful matter, which is what can be perceived as is a trend of blatant attacks on police officers in the past couple of years.  What is going on here?-, is a question that is asked; threatening a police officer is a punishable offense; since when is outright killing a police officer a trend that continues and continues, and what is it going to take to remove it from any threads in the fabric of this county?

Assaulting police officers and disrespect to our soldiers and law enforcement does not belong in the fabric of this country; there might be some that are trying to get it to creep in; denied it is that it exists.
