Mass Shooting in Midland, Texas a Heavy Blow on Top of a Heavy Blow

Mass shootings have been occurring at  frequency of regularity, it almost turns around the normality, which is mass shooting are an anomaly.
Midland, Texas, near Odessa in Ector, County, had a mass shooting within recent hours, in the area around the Cinergy movie theater and Interstate 20.  Differing reports as to whether there are 1 or 2 shooters.  Thus far 5 dead, 21 injured.  8:45pm EST August 31, 2019.

Just last July and earlier in August, there were shootings at Gilroy Garlic Festival, an event in El Paso, Texas, and in the Oregon District of Dayton, Ohio.
Let it also be noted that the amount of deaths due to firearm violence that may bnot have come in the form of 'mass shootings' is also at numbers, beyond any kind of acceptability. No individual should be treated as just a number, when this is realized, and that each life is significant, maybe the situation will turn around.
