Heat Waves and Tropical Storms Combined Preparation

Posted by HCN on Monday, July 25, 2016,
Briefly, just because a heat wave is expected in an area, does not mean the same region moments later is 100% exempt from being impacted from tropical storms, heavy rains, and even flooding, and vice versa.  In other words 100 degree Fahrenheit conditions and prevention of heat stroke made priority, does not mean that in a matter of a few seconds that heavy rains could fall in the same area.
Abutting climate patterns where one region sees one extreme while another sees a counterbalance could...

There were warnings a severe heatwave could be coming soon, and it appears that at least a portion of it might have surfaced.  The central areas of the U.S. such as Chicago and south of there, in about a 500 mile radius and stretching to Texas are seeing scorching temperatures.

In the southwestern area, like Arizona, similar temperatures exist, even up around 120 degrees.

Generally, regions where humidity has usually been high in combination with the extreme temperatures, for instance the Washi...

Posted by HCN on Thursday, October 3, 2013,
The situation that evolved this afternoon in Washington DC, whereas the reports area woman with a child in her car, attempted to ram through the gates of the White House with her car, has two very sad aspects about it.
One of them, the woman is now dead in the aftermath.
The second aspect, is the incident is remindful of one that occurred just longer than a few years back, while a U.S. dignitary was present, a woman crashed through restricted or out of the ordinary lines and structures.

Exact de...

On Tuesday October 1, in Jacksonville, Florida, a bomb hoax took place, the incident resulting in the evacuation of Jacksonville International Airport.  The hoax might better be described as statements made by the suspect that were gauged as misleading.
