Cpl Ballard reported to be the victim
Suspect is/was barricaded inside his house, developing story as of April 26, 2017 8:30pm E.S.T.

Texas, masked man outside police station with a number of guns on his person arrested in Dallas area
Appears that at least 2 semi-automatic handguns were weapons of reference.  Southwest Dallas.

This Time it was in New Mexico, Police Officer Fatally Shot by Men on Run Wanted in Ohio for Another Murder

You could almost smell it, another assault on police officers, in the framework of vehicles involved at the scene.
There are a number of parts and pieces to this event, however, the rock bottom is pretty basal.  At a traffic stop, man shoots cop, then drives off real fast, there is then a set of confusion in a chain of events that eventually wrap up in apprehension of the assailants.
