Mid-Atlantic Has Train Safety on the Front Burner

A DC Metro train system incident made known by unusual smoke, occurred a few days before the middle of January last month.  Progress is under way for prevention of the same in the future.

In New York, in the Valhalla area, a disastrous collision between an SUV an a commuter train about a week ago, amplified the need for train safety efforts.
