Gang Related Violence while Immigration to U.S.

There has been proactive activity toward reducing violence recently in El Salvador.

A 5th of June article this year in the New York Times discusses waves of immigration from Central America including El Salvador.  Tucson, Phoenix, Arizona, and San Antonio, Texas are major areas in the undertakings.

Murder rate according to a report a few days ago is reported to be nine, 9, persons per day in gang related violence, in a country just over 8100 square miles.  The report also says, 10,000 gang members in prison, and 50,000 on the streets.

About this time last year, there is report that hold-out from gang involvement still faces the repercussion of pay with life.
