Perhaps one of the pillar-most stories of describing an event of extremism, is the story of a group of people that believed in their true one-that-should-be-worshipped, and were persecuted because of it. Popular sources on the Internet today may describe a story that began with a boy that presented certain abilities the result of belief, instead of what may be briefly translated as witchcraft, a development which angered the an old magician in cahoots with whomever presided over the populace of the place and time.
Today's story pretty much says that those that refused to renounce their faith in their worthy choice of worship, were marched to a ditch under the purview direction of the ruler, and had destructions placed upon them.
As'hab Al'ukhduwd: a transliteration; an apostrophe is placed after 'As' in Ashab, and 'Al' and before Ukhduwd, simply for translirating purposes, so that the usual sh sound is preemptied in the first, and to reference there is a lower case letter then immediately after an uppercase, so as not to be confused with the letter I/i. In Arabic, typically, al, refers to a more specific entity, so, People, companions, or collective group, of the Ditch, not just a ditch.

The first post in this section, Archives and Commentaries about Extremism, hit upon the topic of what happened over 150 years ago to this date in 2024. After April 9th of 1865.
This post will briefly touch upon another event on US soil, that also happens to reference April, not the 9th, but the 19th, and in the 1990s, 1995 to be exact. The 1990s may still be considered by some as relatively recent, or modern, it is 'today', as one does not need to be of several generations elderly to the average aged adult to have been a witness.
Unless one was very near the scene, many that heard about the Murrah Building incident, likely had the sources of the news come from TV, newspaper, or radio. The Internet was still up and coming, and it took comparatively long lengths of time for pages to load. For those of the public that wanted up to the minute updates, TV and radio may have been the dependable methods.
Standout memories were several, a destroyed building, moreover one that had something to do with government, a vehicle, that was the focus of the blame for carrying the core set of destructive materials, perhaps what can be more bluntly referred to as explosives, weapons of mass destruction, or incendiary devices, and the third aspect was the length of focus on the incident just after it happened by the media, almost excluding many other news stories that ordinarily may have shared a larger fraction of time.

For word brevity, a date to use as a reference point, when Lee surrendered to Grant, which some might equivocate to the end of the Civil War. It is generally known there are reports of skirmishes here and there afterward, word of the surrender may have gotten to different troops at different times, and so forth; the focus of this discussion, is during what is popularly known as the Reconstruction era; focus is the era immediately after the Civil War official wind-down, April 1865, to an estimate of about 1870, and the referent events that occurred.
References to violence including activities such as lynchings may be symbolized by etchings in history books that do cover the topic. Actualities with details of the full scale of events may be more difficult to find, and difficult to talk about.
