German city braces for large far-right protest
BERLIN (AP) — The eastern German city of Dresden is bracing itself for one of the biggest far-right marches the country has seen
Added December 9th 2014: Dresden and Dusseldorf saw protests. There are reports that the protests at least in Dresden, might be taking place every Monday night, and now have about 10,000 persons engaging. There are counter-protests going on as well.
The group being credited with the rally, is PEGIDA, an acronym for Patriotische Europäer Gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes, translated in English as, Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West.
